Who we are

ClipSlim is operated by Joaquin Gonzales ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the ClipSlim website.

Your videos

When you compress a video, the processing happens inside your own browser, on your device. Your video file is not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. The compressed result is created on your device and is only saved if you download it.

To do this, your browser either downloads our video engine (based on FFmpeg) from our website or uses your device's built-in video encoder. Your browser may keep a cached copy of the engine so it loads faster next time. This cache contains only the engine, never your videos.

Information we collect

• No accounts. You don't need to register, so we don't collect your name, email or password.
• No cookies, ads or cross-site tracking. ClipSlim does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools that follow you across websites.
• Anonymous usage statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies, to count page views (page, referring website, country, browser and device type) in aggregate. To know whether the compressor works well, we also record anonymous events such as "compression succeeded/failed", the preset used, the processing mode and rounded ranges of file size and processing time. We never record file names, video contents or anything that identifies you. Vercel does not keep a persistent identifier for you across days.
• Server logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages (our hosting provider) automatically record basic technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the service running and secure, and is kept only for a limited period by the hosting provider.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive the information you include and use it only to reply. Emails to our support address are forwarded by our domain provider (Porkbun) to an inbox hosted by Google (Gmail).

Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information. Server logs and anonymous usage statistics are processed by our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., on our behalf, on servers that may be located in the United States or other countries. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we don't keep accounts or your videos, there is usually very little to request. You can contact us by email at support@clipslim.com.

If you are in Peru, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection under Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection, and you may file a complaint with the National Authority for Personal Data Protection.

Children

ClipSlim is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we add new features that change how information is handled — for example accounts, paid plans or analytics — we will update this policy before they go live and change the date above.
